THE CHARACTERS:

Neill Alexander (played by Caroline Neill Alexander)
In this performance, Neill had a costume that resembled a standard, western white male from the 1700's or so (imagine George Washington). In the story, Neill stumbles upon his old, longlost friend, only to tell of his magnificent journey where he stole, "The Bell". The bell was a beautiful thing, something that he simple had to TAKE, for his own. But it was also the bell that surprised him in the end, it was not only a mere shiny golden bell, but a magical one.

i.ru(ora)/_fiend (played by Lindsey Cammack)
In the first ACT, i.ru is abondoned by their parental figures and lost, finds a new voice to follow, HORSE. Who announces i.ru's destiny, a virgin birth of many children. i.Ru is a representative of naivity and feminity. We also see a struggle i.Ru faces with _fiend, a demon that warns i.Ru of the HORSE, also representing a struggling masculinity within i.Ru. But, after killing their own children i.Ru then transforms into fire horse while crying into the dead children, forgetting all of the past, becoming i.Ru(ORA)- the fire horse.

The Narrator (played by Martha Hincapié Charry)
The narrator is much like a classic narrator, telling pieces of the complex story off to the side. The narrator was created within this performance specifically because of shortened duration the narrator would be able to make clearer the often abstract and complicated story line to the audience.

Storm (played by Misa Chu)
The storm arrives between ACT I and ACT II, when the colors are fading from blue into Orange. The sound generated for the storm comes out of lights, coils and magnets that are manipulated by the storm. The storm serves as a great change that arrives into the SWAMP, that stays until the very end of ACT II, building up slowly with rage and floods, until its final impact.

Mr. Fishy (Played by Nicolas Humbert)
Mr. Fishy is found trapped in a net by i.Ru in ACT I. Mr Fishy becomes quickly friends with i.Ru after helping in the birth of the children. When the children are lost, Mr Fishy transforms into a feathery dragon, after seeing one in the swamp and falling in awe of her. The transformation aids Mr Fishy on helping to find the children, and also his friend i.Ru, who eventually becomes the fire horse. Unknowingly, Fishy captures the horse, thinking it will make him stronger to help find his friends and save them from the storm.

The Bell (Played by Marie-Madeleine Fürbeth)
The bell is a quiet one, who speaks not too much, keeping inside a secret. It is the bell that decides mid-performance, that the language should be changed from English to Polish. By a press of the button, causing the two lanagues to overlap. Towards the end we discover that Neill has stolen The Bell, when suddenly, The Bell's secret is released and along with it the chaos of the storm.

The Voice (By Marta Novak)
The voice is a translation from english into polish and reading/recording by Marta Novak of a piece of the story. The recordings are played when 'the bell' makes the decison to do so.
